Hello. I have been coaching clients in public speaking, media training and confidence building for over ten years. Many of us feel anxious about public speaking, networking, taking part in social situations, communicating with colleagues or convincing future clients to hire us. We all want to feel more comfortable, relaxed and confident in all aspects of our lives, especially those when we may be presenting ideas, meeting clients, competing for business or managing important relationships. Good news - I can help you with that. More good news - if you think of it as just another conversation and make it all about them and not you, it becomes much easier.

Coaching comes in many forms. We will work together to find the approach to suit your needs. We will find the right combination of classic performance coaching (speaking in public), neuro linguistic programming (NLP) and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT).

Here’s how it works.

  • Our initial conversation and assessment. This can be done by SKYPE, telephone or in person. This is where you tell me about your current situation and identify where you’d like to be in the immediate, short-term and long-term future.

  • Our first session will establish your goals and outline how we are going to achieve the best results for you within a desired time frame.

  • Over the course of our agreed session (or sessions), we will work on identifying your triggers, looking at how your thoughts and feelings are translating into behaviour patterns that may be holding you back. We will then find lasting, practical, immersive ways to help move you forward and break the patterns.

  • Public speaking anxiety normally takes only 2 or 3 sessions to overcome, depending on how much practice and detail you need. You can choose to include camera practice and creative consultancy on the content of your presentation or talk. This is also where we can work on your personal brand to make sure it fits with your professional brand or business.

  • Confidence coaching will entirely depend on where you are now and where you’d like to be. The average coaching period covers between 6 - 12 sessions. We can work on anxiety issues, building your confidence and inspiring you into a new motivation.

  • Media training includes classic presentation training with journalistic insights. You will learn how to stay on message, answer questions confidently and deal with the media spotlight, whether you’re brand new to it or a seasoned pro needing help with a current issue.

  • Media training emergency sessions are usually last-minute coaching sessions to help you focus on your key messages, how to deal with tricky questions and understanding how to deliver your message confidently and with authority.

BACKGROUND

My background is in radio and TV production where I worked closely with established presenters, famous faces and people brand new to the mic and camera, so I’ve got a lot of experience working with people who need from editorial production and those brand new to the spotlight. In the world of television I have created ideas such as Victoria Wood’s “Victoria’s Empire” for BBC1, “The Hairy Bikers Great Mississippi Adventure” and am proud to have been part of the team to bring “An Idiot Abroad” to the SKY ONE.

CURRENT WORK

In addition to working with multi-million pound companies, creative teams and CEOs, I am a trainer for D&AD, coach and mentor with the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women, a personal success coach for The Coaching Academy, and a media volunteer for MIND.

I’m passionate about helping people find their voice and re-balancing their thinking. Mental health is fundamental to living a fulfilled work and personal life. Many people have a fear of speaking in public and I help them overcome those worries to help them thrive in their lives on all levels.”
